Billy Bishop
Billy learned the electrical trade from his father — also a licensed electrician — and has worked on everything from single-family homes to industrial complexes, including phosphate mines and power plants. He founded Top Flight Electric in 2017 with one mission: deliver "First Class" residential electrical service with honesty and respect.
Billy is a licensed electrical contractor in Florida (LIC# EC13005699). Before Top Flight, he flew corporate jets around the world — over 8,500 flight hours as an Airline Transport Pilot — spent three years supporting Operation Enduring Freedom with the Department of Defense, and taught aviation at Polk State College for seven years. That cockpit discipline of precision, checklists, and accountability is built into how this company operates.
The idea came from both sides of that life. Years in the private jet industry showed Billy what real first-class service feels like — and his own frustrations as a homeowner showed him how rarely home services deliver it. Too often, calling a contractor means anxiety: how long will they be here, is the meter running while they run to the supply house, will they clean up after themselves?
